Hjertholm Media, in collaboration with Storyboard Productions, has produced the movie: “Reminiscence – an introduction”.
The film introduces the concept of Reminiscence, and historian Ove Dahl from the Danish Center for Reminiscence, a pioneer of remembrance work in Denmark, talks about the background to Reminiscence and the widespread use of the concept today.
We also visit various care centers where Reminiscence is used in everyday life with the frail elderly – typically those with dementia – and where the use of recognizable objects from their own lives is a good tool to find the “key” to the individual person.
